EXP PRESENTS THE SUPERCRIT SERIES
Supercrits invite some of the world's greatest architects back into the studio to present one of their most famous projects to a student audience and a panel of international critics - almost as though they were students at a design crit.
“You actually succeeded in slightly intimidating me”…..Rem Koolhaas
Supercrit subjects so far have been Cedric Price, Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown, Richard Rogers, Bernard Tschumi, Rem Koolhaas, Leon Krier and James Stirling Michael Wilford.
This website allows you to view the full annotated and illustrated video footage of the Supercrits given by Rem Koolhaas on his seminal book Delirious New York; Leon Krier on his controversial Poundbury project and Michael Wilford on James Stirling Michael Wilford's often overlooked masterpiece the Neue Staatsgalerie.
It also illustrates the Routledge book versions of Supercrits on Cedric Price's brilliant Potteries ThinkBelt project; Venturi's and Scott Brown's iconoclastic book Learning From Las Vegas; Richard Rogers' seminal Pompidou Centre and Bernard Tschumi's Parc de la Villette.
Supercrits are an invention of EXP, the Research Centre for Experimental Practice in Architecture at the University of Westminster.
Other EXP projects include the Archigram Archival Project
